Los Angeles Pacific University Rebrands as Azusa Pacific University Global
Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU) has been renamed Azusa Pacific University Global (APU Global), strengthening its affiliation with Azusa Pacific University and expanding its fully online education offerings.

Los Angeles Pacific University (LAPU) has officially rebranded as Azusa Pacific University Global (APU Global), according to a statement released on October 1, 2026. This rebranding signifies a closer alignment with Azusa Pacific University (APU) and highlights APU Global's role as the fully online arm within the APU ecosystem. The institution will continue to offer online associate, bachelor's, and master's degree programs designed for working adults and students seeking flexible educational pathways.
The renaming aims to consolidate the two independently accredited institutions under a unified APU brand, intending to reduce market confusion and broaden accessibility. Jay Goin, President of APU Global, stated that unifying under the APU name creates a strong, recognizable identity for online students. APU will continue to offer its residential and hybrid educational experiences on its campuses.
Despite the shared branding, APU and APU Global will remain distinct, independently accredited institutions with separate leadership and academic governance. Both share a commitment to Christ-centered education integrated with faith. University leaders Adam J. Morris and Jay Goin emphasized that this collaboration is intended to provide high-quality education and clarify educational pathways for students, particularly those pursuing online studies.
The transition is designed to be seamless for current LAPU students, with no disruption to their academic progress. The primary change is in the university's name and visual identity. APU Global offers flexible, asynchronous courses to meet the needs of its student population, while both institutions aim to leverage the collaboration to enhance the educational experience.
