Loud! OOH prioritizes AI search over Google for advertising optimisation

Loud! OOH, an independent out-of-home advertising agency based in the UK, announced a strategic pivot in May 2026 to focus on optimizing for AI search engines rather than traditional Google rankings. Founder Jamie Roberts stated that this shift has already resulted in a 266% increase in inquiries originating from AI tools.

Roberts observed that a growing number of clients, particularly from the AI, crypto, and fintech sectors, are using AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Google's Gemini for their research. Instead of performing multiple Google searches, these clients ask AI assistants direct questions about advertising costs and expect immediate, singular answers.

In response, Loud! OOH has restructured its website, including pricing pages and FAQ sections, to ensure information is easily extractable by AI. The agency has standardized all published figures, from large-scale billboards to London Underground advertising costs, to provide consistent, machine-readable data. Roberts predicts that within two years, being the AI's answer will be more critical for SMEs than Google search rankings.

The agency has maintained a practice of publishing its full rate card openly with zero markup since its launch. Roberts believes these specific, verifiable numbers are precisely what AI tools require to provide accurate responses to user queries.
