Louis Vuitton opens temporary flagship space in New York
LVMH-owned Louis Vuitton has opened a large-scale temporary retail space at 6 East 57th Street in New York City. The location will operate during the upcoming renovation of the brand's Fifth Avenue flagship.

Louis Vuitton has established its largest retail footprint in the United States at 6 East 57th Street. The move provides a significant commercial presence in Manhattan while the Maison’s Fifth Avenue flagship undergoes an anticipated renovation.
Housed in a landmark Art Deco building, the space incorporates both historical branding and modern retail design. The interior features a central installation of traditional trunks, while the fourth floor functions as a combined library and café. The food and beverage service is managed by a team led by chefs Arnaud Donckele and Maxime Frédéric.
This temporary site highlights a shift in luxury retail, where brands prioritize experiential spaces—integrating gastronomy and culture—to maintain consumer engagement during operational transitions.
