Louis Vuitton Presents Prefall 2024 Collection in Shanghai

Louis Vuitton presented its Women's Prefall 2024 collection at the Long Museum in Shanghai. The event, dubbed the Voyager Show, highlighted the fashion house's connection to travel and continued designer Nicolas Ghesquière's decade-long creative journey.

The collection's silhouettes were described as echoing Ghesquière's past works while pointing toward the Maison's future. The show featured a collaboration with contemporary artist Sun Yitian, whose animalistic artworks were incorporated into the looks. The wardrobe embraced contrasts, pairing short with long, and mixing floral prints with stripes and checks, all in vibrant colors.

The show also featured Louis Vuitton's signature accessories, including models of the Petite Malle, Twist, and OnTheGo bags, presented in new iterations. The Slim Trunk made its debut. These accessories served as narrative elements, referencing founder Louis Vuitton's heritage and his innovative savoir-faire in trunk-making.

The venue itself, the Long Museum, is notable as China's largest private museum, housing significant collections of Chinese and international art. Its minimalist architecture provided a backdrop for the presentation of Louis Vuitton's women's collection.
