LOVB Los Angeles Unveils Inaugural Volleyball Roster
LOVB Los Angeles has announced its founding roster, featuring 13 athletes including Olympic medalists and international stars, as the new professional volleyball team prepares to debut.

LOVB Los Angeles has officially launched its professional volleyball franchise by unveiling its inaugural 13-player roster. The team comprises a mix of Olympic medalists, NCAA champions, and international volleyball players, with several athletes returning to their Southern California roots.
The formation of the Los Angeles team comes as volleyball experiences significant growth in the United States, particularly in Southern California, a known hub for talent. The city's upcoming role in hosting the 2028 Olympic Games also adds to the sport's increasing prominence.
The roster includes notable players such as Carli Lloyd, a 2016 Olympic bronze medalist, and Kathryn Plummer Boden, a 2024 Olympic silver medalist, alongside international athletes from countries like Serbia and Brazil. The team aims to establish itself as a significant presence in the professional volleyball landscape.
LOVB Los Angeles plans to celebrate its public debut with a community event on July 18 at the California Surf Club in Redondo Beach. The event will offer fans an opportunity to meet the players and learn more about the franchise's vision. The team is part of League One Volleyball (LOVB), which aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem from youth to professional play.
