LTR Pharma Launches ED Nasal Spray Roxus in U.S.

LTR Pharma Limited (ASX: LTP), an Australian pharmaceutical firm, announced the U.S. availability of Roxus®, a prescription nasal spray for erectile dysfunction (ED). The spray delivers vardenafil, the same active ingredient found in vardenafil tablets, via LTR Pharma's intranasal technology.

Roxus utilizes the same intranasal vardenafil formulation as SPONTAN®, the company's nasal spray marketed in Australia for the past two years. Clinical studies indicate that the spray reaches peak blood levels in a median of approximately 10 minutes, a significant reduction compared to the 45 to 60 minutes required for vardenafil tablets. Administration through the nasal passages is designed to bypass delays associated with food intake that can affect oral medications.

"For twenty years, ED treatment has meant taking a pill, waiting an hour, and hoping dinner doesn't get in the way. Roxus delivers vardenafil through the nose instead of the stomach, and in our clinical studies, our nasal spray reached peak blood levels in about ten minutes instead of an hour. That changes the experience for men and their partners, as it's effective within 5-10 minutes," said Lee Rodne, Executive Chairman at LTR Pharma. He highlighted the potential for improved patient experience regarding speed and spontaneity.

The product is accessible in the U.S. through a partnership with Mavrox.com/Roxus, a telemedicine platform for men's health. Patients complete an online health assessment, which is reviewed by a licensed U.S. provider. If deemed appropriate, the prescription is filled by Strive Pharmacy and shipped discreetly. LTR Pharma is also developing other fast-acting intranasal medications.

Important safety information notes that Roxus should not be used by individuals taking nitrates or certain other medications. As a compounded medication, it has not been reviewed or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for safety or efficacy.
