Lucara Diamond Corp. has recovered a 1,305.4-carat diamond from its Karowe mine in Botswana. This marks the company's tenth diamond exceeding 1,000 carats since the mine's operation began.

Lucara Diamond Corp. announced the recovery of a 1,305.4-carat diamond from its 100%-owned Karowe Diamond Mine in Botswana. This recovery represents the company's tenth diamond over 1,000 carats found since operations commenced at the site.
The Karowe mine is noted for its production of large, high-value diamonds. While specific characteristics of this latest find were not detailed, previous large diamonds recovered from the mine have often been Type IIa, a rare and valuable classification.
Located in southern Botswana, the Karowe mine has been operational since 2012. Lucara is currently undertaking an expansion project to develop an underground operation at the site, which is expected to enhance the production of high-value diamonds in the future.
The company has previously recovered significant stones from Karowe, including diamonds weighing 1,174 carats, 813 carats, and 616 carats. Lucara regularly reports major diamond discoveries through official press releases.
