Lucid reports $2.39 billion loss for first half of fiscal year

Electric vehicle manufacturer Lucid Group has reported its financial results for the first half of its 2026 fiscal year, ending June 30, 2026. The company posted a net loss of $2.39 billion, marking a 62.79% increase in losses compared to the prior year.
Total revenue for the first half of the fiscal year was $688 million, a decrease from the previous year. Operating cash flow was negative $2.41 billion, and free cash flow was negative $2.91 billion, both showing significant increases in cash burn year-over-year.
For the second fiscal quarter ended June 30, 2026, Lucid reported a net loss of $1.26 billion, a 70.34% increase in losses compared to the second quarter of the previous fiscal year. However, revenue for the quarter rose 56% to $405 million.
Lucid is implementing an "operational reset" plan aimed at improving cash flow and reducing costs, projecting $1.4 billion in potential cash flow improvements. The company stated it had $3 billion in total liquidity at the end of the reporting period and expects this to support operations into 2027 following recent financing. Production and development of new models, including the Gravity SUV and a mid-size vehicle platform, are ongoing.
