Lukas Kübler reaches 250 competitive appearances for SC Freiburg
Defender Lukas Kübler has marked his 250th competitive appearance for SC Freiburg. The milestone coincided with the club's advancement in the DFB-Pokal against VfL Wolfsburg.
Lukas Kübler has reached a significant career milestone, recording his 250th competitive appearance for SC Freiburg. The veteran defender hit the mark during Wednesday's DFB-Pokal victory, which secured the club's place in the second round of the tournament.
The match also served as a debut for Rihito Yamamoto, who made his first professional appearance for the club. Despite the cup success, the team is quickly pivoting focus back to Bundesliga competition, with an away match scheduled against FC Augsburg this Saturday.
Preparation for the upcoming fixture is complicated by the injury of Philipp Treu, who has been ruled out of the weekend squad. The coaching staff is currently evaluating defensive alternatives as the team seeks to build on their cup momentum in league play.
