Fifty-seven new Lumo rental apartments are currently under construction at Lapinmäentie 10 in Helsinki's Munkkivuori district. The development is situated near the iconic Pohjola building, which was once Finland's largest office complex. The new building will offer apartments ranging from studios to four-room units across seven floors.

The project is being undertaken by Lumo Kodit Oyj, a rental housing company belonging to the Kojamo Group. Key advantages of the location include proximity to the Munkkivuori shopping center's services and excellent public transport links within the Helsinki metropolitan area. The company expects the apartments to be ready for occupancy in Autumn 2021.

The original Pohjola building, completed in 1969, is a protected structure. Its tower section will remain in office use, with services planned for its base. The new construction adds residential capacity to an area historically known for its office facilities.

Lumo's online store opened apartment rentals in March 2021. These homes can be rented directly online without a separate application process. Ville Kilpi, Sales Director at Kojamo Oyj, stated that the Lapinmäentie 10 development emphasizes Scandinavian style and quality, respecting the surrounding architecture.
