Lumo Kodit to build 127 new rental apartments in Hämeenlinna and Turku

Lumo Kodit, part of the Kojamo Group, and Rakennuskartio Oy, a subsidiary of Lehto Group, are building 127 new Lumo rental apartments. The projects are located at Linnankatu 3 in the center of Hämeenlinna and at Riitasuonkatu 28 in the Kaerla district of Turku. Completion is expected in late 2018. The former office building at Linnankatu 3 in Hämeenlinna is being converted into 78 Lumo apartments through renovation. The property will include single and two-room apartments, along with four three-room units. In Turku, a new four-story building with 49 Lumo apartments is being constructed at Riitasuonkatu 28, also featuring single and two-room layouts. "Linnankatu 3 is a good example of an ideal location for rental apartments. Converting the office building into homes enables us to build apartments right in the heart of the town," said Kim Jolkkonen, Real Estate Development Director at Kojamo. Matti Laukkanen, Project Manager at Lehto Group, noted that the cooperation with Kojamo has started well and the properties suit their residential construction concept. All new Lumo apartments will be smoke-free. Tenants will have access to common facilities such as a laundry room, drying rooms, and saunas. Broadband internet is included in the rent. Both locations will feature outdoor areas with playgrounds and recreational spaces, as well as parking facilities.
