Lundbeck Board Chair Dorothea Wenzel to Step Down in 2027

H. Lundbeck A/S announced that Dorothea Wenzel, Chair of the Board, will step down in connection with the Annual General Meeting in 2027. Wenzel joined the Lundbeck Board in 2021 and has served as Chair since March 2025.

The Board intends to appoint Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen as the new Chair. Jørgensen will join the Board as an observer effective November 10, 2026, pending formal election at the 2027 AGM.

Lars Fruergaard Jørgensen brings over 30 years of international experience in the healthcare industry, most recently as CEO of Novo Nordisk from 2017 to 2025. His appointment is expected to support Lundbeck's transition into the next phase of its strategy, focusing on sustainable long-term growth in brain health.

"It has been an honor to serve as Chair of the Board of Directors of Lundbeck. I am proud of the development the company has undertaken in recent years," Wenzel stated. "As Lundbeck prepares to enter the next phase of its strategy, I believe this is a natural time to pass on the responsibility of leading the Board."

Lundbeck is a biopharmaceutical company focused on brain health, developing treatments for neurological and psychiatric diseases. The company has recently strengthened its commercial performance and pipeline.
