Lundbeck to Present Movement Disorder Pipeline Data at MDS Congress
Lundbeck will present new data from its movement disorder pipeline, focusing on multiple system atrophy (MSA) and advanced Parkinson's disease research at the MDS Congress.

Danish pharmaceutical company H. Lundbeck A/S will present new data from its movement disorder pipeline at the International Congress of Parkinson's disease and Movement Disorders (MDS) in Seoul, South Korea, from October 4-8. The presentations cover research into multiple system atrophy (MSA), a rare and rapidly progressing neurodegenerative disease, and advanced Parkinson's disease.
A key presentation will include baseline characteristics from the Phase III MASCOT trial of amlenetug for MSA. The global trial has enrolled 401 participants with clinically probable or established MSA, evaluating amlenetug against placebo over 72 weeks. Results from this trial are expected in Q3 2027.
Additional research from Lundbeck will address challenges in MSA clinical development, including analyses of potential clinical trial endpoints and biomarkers. The company will also present data on the broader burden of MSA, indicating significantly higher healthcare costs and resource utilization compared to Parkinson's disease.
Furthermore, Lundbeck will share exploratory Phase Ib data for Lu AF28996, an investigational oral dopamine receptor agonist aimed at treating motor complications in advanced Parkinson's disease. This study evaluated the compound's safety and clinical effects in patients with inadequately controlled motor fluctuations.
