H. Lundbeck A/S is set to present data from its movement disorders pipeline at the International Congress of Parkinson's disease and Movement Disorders® (MDS) in Seoul, South Korea, from October 4–8. The presentations will cover multiple system atrophy (MSA), a rare and rapidly progressing neurodegenerative disease, and advanced Parkinson's disease (PD) where motor complications are difficult to manage.

A key highlight will be late-breaking data from the ongoing Phase III MASCOT trial investigating amlenetug for MSA. The trial enrolled 401 participants and is evaluating the safety and efficacy of amlenetug versus placebo over a 72-week period. Results are anticipated in Q3 2027.

The company will also present research addressing challenges in MSA clinical development, including proposed clinical trial endpoints and biomarker research for diagnosis and monitoring. A US observational study indicated significantly higher healthcare costs and resource utilization for patients with MSA compared to Parkinson's disease.

Lundbeck will additionally present new Phase Ib data for Lu AF28996, an investigational oral dopamine receptor agonist being developed for motor complications in advanced Parkinson's disease. Both amlenetug and Lu AF28996 are investigational compounds, and their efficacy and safety have not been established by regulatory authorities.
