H. Lundbeck A/S has announced headline results from its Phase IV THRIVE trial, evaluating eptinezumab (Vyepti®) in adults with migraine who had an inadequate response to prior CGRP-targeting preventive therapy.

The trial's primary endpoint analysis revealed that 60% of participants reported feeling 'much improved' or 'very much improved' after 24 weeks of treatment. These results offer prospective clinical data on eptinezumab's use in adults who previously had an insufficient response to one CGRP-targeting preventive therapy.

The THRIVE trial is the first interventional study specifically designed to evaluate outcomes with eptinezumab in patients with migraine following an inadequate response to a prior CGRP-targeting preventive therapy. The study addresses a significant data gap, as limited clinical information is available regarding treatment sequencing for patients who have tried previous migraine preventive therapies.

Lundbeck stated that eptinezumab was generally well tolerated, with no new safety signals identified. Full trial results are scheduled for presentation at upcoming scientific congresses and publication in a peer-reviewed journal.
