LVMH and Institut Français de la Mode Launch "Sciences & Creation" Chair

LVMH and Institut Français de la Mode (IFM) have announced the creation of the "Sciences & Creation" Chair, an academic partnership focused on examining the processes of creativity and their modern transformations.

The initiative aims to develop new knowledge on creative processes by merging fashion, luxury, humanities, cognitive sciences, and emerging technologies. Its objectives include enriching IFM's teaching programs and strengthening the connections between research, talent, and LVMH Group's Maisons.

LVMH has a history of supporting academic collaborations to foster innovation and knowledge transfer. These Chairs facilitate the production of new knowledge, bridge the gap between research and the professional world, and help identify and nurture future talent within the fashion and luxury industries.

The research under this Chair will be structured around three main areas: "Creation and cognition," "Computational models of creation" (including artificial intelligence and human-machine collaboration), and "Social sciences and anthropology of creation." The goal is to better understand how ideas, talent, and creative innovation emerge and evolve.
