LVMH Prize: 20 young fashion designers shortlisted for 11th edition
LVMH has announced the 20 candidates selected for the semi-final of the 11th LVMH Prize for Young Fashion Designers. The competition saw a record number of over 2,500 applications from around the world.
Luxury conglomerate LVMH has revealed the 20 semi-finalists for the 11th edition of its prize for emerging fashion designers. This year's competition attracted a record number of over 2,500 applications from designers worldwide, underscoring the prize's growing international reach.
The 20 selected brands hail from 18 countries, with first-time representation from Mexico, Moldova, and Togo, highlighting a diverse range of cultures and talents. These emerging designers will present their collections in Paris on February 29 and March 1, 2024.
In addition to the main prizes awarded for creativity, LVMH is introducing a new Savoir-Faire Prize this year, which will honor exceptional craftsmanship, technical expertise, innovation, and sustainability. The LVMH Prize and the Karl Lagerfeld Prize each come with a €400,000 and €200,000 endowment, respectively, along with a year of mentorship from LVMH teams. Three fashion school graduates will also receive €10,000 and a year-long design studio apprenticeship.
The LVMH Prize continues to serve as a significant platform for nurturing and recognizing new talent in the fashion industry.
