Lynk & Co has announced that its new 07 GT model has passed an industry-first "moose test" conducted under special conditions, achieving a speed of 85 km/h. The company states this is the highest speed recorded globally for a "travel wagon" (station wagon/estate) vehicle in this type of test.
The vehicle demonstrated its stability during the test by successfully navigating the course under various load scenarios. With a fully loaded roof rack, the 07 GT reportedly maintained control at 82.1 km/h. When towing a trailer, the car achieved a speed of 81.9 km/h before successfully completing the maneuver.
The "moose test" is designed to evaluate a vehicle's ability to perform sudden evasive steering maneuvers, simulating scenarios such as avoiding an obstacle on the road. Lynk & Co highlighted the 07 GT's performance as an indicator of its stable chassis and effective electronic stability control systems.
The Lynk & Co 07 GT, presented as a "travel wagon," recently began its pre-sale period with prices ranging from 165,800 to 185,800 Chinese yuan.
