Hangzhou, China – Lynk Pharmaceuticals announced July 14, 2026, that patient enrollment has concluded in the Phase III clinical trial for zemprocitinib capsules, designed to treat active ankylosing spondylitis (AS).

The milestone signifies progress toward potentially offering a new oral treatment option for patients with the chronic inflammatory disease. The randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial has enrolled 352 patients and is proceeding with treatment, follow-up, and data collection. The primary endpoint is the proportion of patients achieving an Assessment of SpondyloArthritis international Society 40% response (ASAS40) at Week 16.

Ankylosing spondylitis is a progressive inflammatory condition affecting the spine, leading to pain and reduced physical function. Despite existing treatments, many patients do not achieve adequate disease control or have concerns regarding long-term safety.

Zemprocitinib is a selective JAK1 inhibitor. Previous Phase III data from studies in rheumatoid arthritis and atopic dermatitis indicated rapid and sustained efficacy with a favorable safety and tolerability profile compared to placebo.
