The 18th Lyon Biennale of Contemporary Art, themed "To pass from one dream to another," has announced its full roster of participating artists. The event, set to run from September 19 to December 13, 2026, will present works by a total of 118 artists, including 45 new artists joining the biennale circuit.
The biennale emphasizes its commitment to diversity, featuring a broad spectrum of artistic practices, generations, and global regions. Collectively, artists represent 42 nationalities, offering a comprehensive global perspective on contemporary art.
Expanding its exhibition footprint within the city, the Lyon Biennale is introducing an eleventh venue: Cour des Loges Lyon, A Radisson Collection Hotel. This historic hotel in the heart of Old Lyon will serve as a new setting for contemporary art, blending heritage and imagination.
The "Young International Creation" program continues its mission to support emerging talent, a fixture of the biennale for over two decades. An international panel of curators has been appointed to oversee the selection of young international artists, ensuring a diverse and forward-looking showcase.
