MacGregor to deliver cranes, handling equipment to four research vessels
MacGregor has secured orders for cranes, handling equipment, and deck machinery for four new oceanographic research vessels. Equipment deliveries are scheduled to begin in 2027.

MacGregor has secured significant orders to deliver advanced deck cranes, handling equipment, and deck machinery for four new oceanographic research vessels. The orders were booked into the company's order intake during the second and third quarters of 2026.
Equipment deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2027 and are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2029. Two of the vessels will be built by GONDAN Shipbuilders in Spain for the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH).
The remaining two vessels will be constructed by Titagarh in India for the Indian National Centre for Polar and Ocean Research (NCPOR). These contracts reinforce MacGregor's role as a supplier to specialized maritime research operations.
The financial value of these orders has not been disclosed. The supplied equipment is critical for the vessels' capacity to conduct complex oceanographic missions. MacGregor will also provide after-sales service and support.
