MacGregor has secured a contract to supply a 165-tonne active heave compensated (AHC) crane for a new Ulstein SX121 vessel. The vessel is ordered by Jan De Nul and is under construction at the China Merchants Heavy Industry shipyard.

MacGregor has finalized an agreement to deliver a 165-tonne active heave compensated (AHC) crane for a new Ulstein SX121 vessel, ordered by Belgian offshore contractor Jan De Nul.
The vessel is currently under construction at the China Merchants Heavy Industry (CMHI) facility in China. This order is part of a 1+1 vessel program, with the first vessel scheduled for delivery in February 2028. Jan De Nul selected MacGregor based on the company's established track record and proven performance in previous offshore projects.
This contract was booked into MacGregor's order intake for the second quarter of 2026. The supplied crane will have a lifting capacity of 165 tonnes, designed for demanding offshore operations.
