MacGregor will supply a comprehensive scope of cargo handling solutions for six 1,700 TEU dual-fuel LNG-powered containerships being constructed at India's Cochin Shipyard Limited (CSL). The vessels have been ordered by the French shipping company CMA CGM, with deliveries scheduled between 2029 and 2031.

The order supports India's position as a strategic hub for global trade and sustainable shipbuilding. MacGregor recorded the order in its Q2 2026 order intake.

The scope of MacGregor's delivery includes the design and manufacturing of hatch covers, along with cargo securing systems. The company has not disclosed the value of the contract.

CMA CGM is one of the world's largest shipping lines and has been increasing its fleet of environmentally friendly vessels. The order for six new LNG-powered ships from CSL is part of this strategy.
