Made Scientific Partners With CARR Biosystems for Cell Therapy Manufacturing
Made Scientific is integrating UniFuge centrifugation systems into its facilities to improve the scalability of allogeneic cell therapy manufacturing.
Made Scientific has entered into a partnership with CARR Biosystems to enhance the manufacturing capabilities for mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) and allogeneic cell therapies. The agreement involves the deployment of UniFuge single-use centrifugation systems across Made Scientific’s facilities in Princeton, New Jersey, and East Norriton, Pennsylvania.
The new hardware will be integrated directly into Made Scientific’s existing 3D bioreactor platforms. By adopting this technology, the company aims to address the manufacturing bottlenecks common in cell therapy production, specifically regarding process scalability. Concurrently, CARR Biosystems has designated Made Scientific as a preferred contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) for future UniFuge development studies.
This partnership addresses the increasing demand for robust manufacturing infrastructure in the regenerative medicine industry. By formalizing this relationship, both companies aim to standardize workflows for developers transitioning from laboratory-scale research to larger production volumes.
