Magellan Sécurité acquires Akerva to bolster cybersecurity capabilities

Magellan Sécurité, the cybersecurity arm of Magellan Partners Group, has acquired Akerva, a specialist in cybersecurity consulting and risk management. The transaction aims to enhance Magellan Sécurité's offerings and expand its presence within the French cybersecurity market.

The integration of Akerva is expected to create a significant independent player in France's cybersecurity sector, boasting 120 consultants and an projected annual revenue of €17 million by 2025. Akerva brings expertise in audits, Red Team services, and its Cyber Defense Center (SOC), complementing Magellan Sécurité's existing capabilities in strategic consulting, risk management, and security solution integration.

This strategic alliance is designed to provide a comprehensive, end-to-end cybersecurity service, covering everything from auditing and strategic advice to operational management and monitoring. The combined entity will be better positioned to support organizations with evolving cyber challenges, including adherence to new regulations like the IA Act, NIS2, and DORA.

Magellan Sécurité views this merger as a key step in strengthening its holistic approach to cybersecurity. The company intends to leverage advanced technologies, including generative AI, to bolster digital trust and counter increasingly sophisticated cyber threats, positioning itself for future growth in the sector.
