Automotive supplier Magna International Inc. has opened a new, state-of-the-art seating manufacturing facility in Chomutov, Czech Republic. The plant will supply seating systems in various configurations for several BMW models, with production expected to begin by the end of this year.
The Chomutov facility has already created 150 jobs, with plans to add an additional 150 employees throughout 2019. The new plant utilizes "smart factory" manufacturing concepts to increase efficiency and quality. The facility covers 6,000 square meters and has the capacity to produce over 360,000 seat sets annually.

According to the company, the new plant offers a flexible work environment and employs the latest technology to quickly adapt to evolving customer requirements.
