Magnetic sensor firm Sinomags prepares for Hong Kong IPO
Anhui-based Sinomags is pursuing a public listing to finance an expansion into robotics and upgrade manufacturing capabilities at its German subsidiary.

Sinomags, a Chinese manufacturer of magnetic sensors, has filed documents for a Hong Kong initial public offering. The company, which holds a 0.6% global market share according to 2025 data, aims to use the proceeds to bolster its production of precision sensors for robotics and upgrade the facilities of its German unit, Sensitec.
Founded in 2013, Sinomags has leveraged growth in the solar and electric vehicle sectors to build its industrial scale. The company reported a revenue of RMB 845.3 million in 2025, marking a transition to profitability. Its operational strategy is built on an integrated device manufacturer model, controlling processes from chip design and wafer manufacturing to final module assembly.
While the company has shown consistent financial growth, it faces significant risks. Over half of its revenue is derived from its top five customers, creating high reliance on a small buyer group. Additionally, Sinomags has been involved in a legal dispute over patent validity with a domestic competitor; however, the company maintains that its most critical trade secrets remain protected and that its reliance on the disputed technologies has dwindled.
