Mago Maga Launches AI-Powered Home Coffee Roaster Roma-X on Kickstarter

Mago Maga is set to launch its third-generation AI-powered home coffee roaster, the Roma-X, through a Kickstarter campaign commencing on July 23, 2026. The initiative seeks to foster a connected community of home roasters and provide an enhanced coffee experience.

The Roma-X represents a significant redesign, integrating professional-grade roasting control with intelligent automation suitable for kitchen environments. It features a capacity of up to 300 grams of green coffee beans per batch, offering six preset roasting levels and 266 built-in profiles, alongside a manual mode for custom creations.

Operation is facilitated by a 5-inch color touchscreen with multi-language support and Bluetooth connectivity, complemented by iOS and Android mobile applications for real-time monitoring and control. The device also includes a cloud-based community platform for users to share roasting profiles and experiences, with over-the-air updates providing new features. A built-in smoke filtration system reduces smoke and airborne particles by up to 90%, enabling indoor use.

The Roma-X was previously a finalist for "Best New Product" at World of Coffee 2026 in San Diego. Mago Maga's previous model, Roma Pro V1.0, received the "People's Choice Award" at SCA Coffee Expo 2024. The Kickstarter campaign will feature early bird pricing, offering over 50% off the anticipated retail price of $1,598, with deliveries expected to begin in fall 2026.
