MagPro Launches AeroLev 1850 for AI Data Center Cooling
MagPro has introduced the AeroLev 1850, a 1.85 MW-class air-cooled magnetic-bearing chiller platform designed for AI data centers in water-scarce regions.

MagPro, a joint venture between CIGU Technology Corp. Ltd. and EPG Data Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., has launched the AeroLev 1850, a new cooling platform for AI data centers. This 1.85 MW-class, air-cooled magnetic-bearing chiller platform is designed for next-generation AI data centers, particularly those located in water-scarce and high-ambient temperature environments.
As AI computing drives increased power demand and heat density, data center operators require cooling solutions that can scale without relying heavily on water. The AeroLev 1850 addresses this by employing a cooling-tower-free architecture, oil-free magnetic-levitation technology, and intelligent controls, aiming to provide efficient and reliable cooling while significantly reducing water consumption.
The system features a dedicated air-cooled magnetic-levitation compressor with an isentropic efficiency of up to 87%. MagPro claims that this technology, combined with other enhancements, delivers up to 40% higher overall energy efficiency and up to 8% lower failure rates compared to conventional oil-lubricated compressors. Maintenance costs are also projected to be up to 10% lower.
The AeroLev 1850 is engineered to support emerging cooling architectures, including direct-to-chip and immersion liquid cooling, by supplying chilled water at temperatures up to 45°C. Its standardized modular design facilitates rapid installation and flexible expansion to accommodate growing AI capacity. MagPro aims to provide resilient and resource-efficient infrastructure for the expanding digital ecosystem.
