MAIN Druckservice shifts to digital printing with Canon ColorStream 8133

MAIN Druckservice, a German printing service provider, has upgraded its production printing capabilities by investing in Canon's ColorStream 8133 continuous feed inkjet system. This move marks the company's strategic shift from traditional offset printing to becoming a digital print-on-demand specialist.

The company, founded in 2008 and family-owned, aimed to grow its customer base and diversify its printing applications, particularly by collaborating with online print providers. This required a more efficient and productive printing solution than its previous offset setup.

The Canon ColorStream 8133 offers a printing speed of 133 meters per minute, nearly doubling the output of the company's previous Canon ColorStream 3500. It also provides enhanced print quality at 1200 dpi, enabling the production of higher-value applications such as marketing materials.

MAIN Druckservice has been a Canon customer since 2008, progressively adopting the company's printing technologies. The latest investment in the ColorStream 8133 is seen as a key step in solidifying its position in the competitive digital printing market.
