MakeO, the parent entity of clear aligner brand Toothsi, has secured ₹90 crore (approximately $9.4 million) in a funding round led by Singularity AMC, with participation from DSP family office, Genesis, and Unispace Ventures.
The Mumbai-based startup intends to utilize the capital to broaden its physical footprint across India and Southeast Asia. Further investments are planned for manufacturing capabilities, consumer experience enhancements, clinical centers, and backend technology. MakeO is also exploring potential acquisitions of dental and aligner businesses in these regions as part of its offline expansion strategy.
This latest funding follows MakeO's acquisition of Singapore-headquartered Zenyum, a move that extended its reach throughout Southeast Asia. Earlier this year, the company also acquired Apple Dental, which operates 20 clinics in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
With these expansions, MakeO now operates a network of approximately 1,100 partner dentists across 10 countries, manages over 60 offline clinical centers, and has served more than 400,000 consumers. The company reported that its combined business has surpassed ₹500 crore in revenue and achieved EBITDA profitability. MakeO aims to double its revenue within the next two to three years.
