Malakoff Humanis Foundation Expands Cultural Accessibility with MH Festival Tour 2026
Paris, France – The Malakoff Humanis Foundation is continuing its commitment to cultural accessibility with the MH Festival Tour 2026. For its eleventh edition, the initiative is supporting 26 festivals across France, including seven new venues, aiming to improve the accessibility of cultural events for individuals with disabilities.
Festivals supported by the foundation are implementing concrete solutions such as audio description, sign language interpretation, braille materials, accessible pathways, and relaxation areas. These measures, along with vibrating vests and hearing loops, are designed to ensure a more inclusive cultural experience for a wider audience.
In 2025, the festivals backed by Malakoff Humanis Foundation enabled 15,567 people with disabilities to participate in adapted cultural experiences. Annual surveys among festival-goers indicate that nearly 90% reported a positive experience, and 83.5% found the provided accessibility services met their needs. The foundation audits existing accessibility provisions and identifies areas for enhancement in collaboration with festival organizers.
The MH Festival Tour 2026 includes numerous well-known festivals like Hellfest, Eurockéennes de Belfort, and Nice Jazz Fest. A notable development is the 'L'Art de Rien' festival, conceived from its inception to be fully inclusive. For 2026, three festivals will also host young reporters with disabilities, in partnership with REVIVRE - VIVRE FM.
