Malaysian startup RewardinMe expands to Myanmar with gamified ads
Malaysian gamified ads platform RewardinMe has launched in Myanmar, aiming to increase local e-wallet transactions and gather user data through in-app games.

Kuala Lumpur-based startup RewardinMe, a platform for gamified advertising, has entered the Myanmar market, marking its sixth expansion. The company partnered with Thailand-based B2B consultancy RevSEA for this market entry.
The rollout began in September with an 18-month campaign for an unnamed e-wallet provider. RewardinMe's strategy involves using Burmese-language in-app games to encourage more daily wallet transactions and collect first-party data with user consent.
Since 2023, RewardinMe has reported reaching over 360,000 participants across its campaigns, with clients including Maybank and RHB Bank. While Myanmar's e-wallet market is projected for growth, potential internet restrictions and connectivity issues could pose challenges for mobile marketing efforts.
