MALOA Skincare Launches Promoting Minimalist Routines for Tweens
MALOA Skincare has launched four gentle products aimed at children aged 9 and up. The brand emphasizes simplicity, positioning skincare as a minimal part of a child's day.

MALOA Skincare launched on October 13, 2026, offering a new line of products designed for tweens aged nine and older. Founded by Lauren Wilson, the brand's core philosophy, dubbed "anti-skincare," suggests that skincare should be a brief, two-minute routine in the morning and evening. This approach aims to counter increasingly complex routines adopted by children, often influenced by social media trends.
The brand's name, MALOA, translates to "today was a good day," reflecting its emphasis on activities outside of beauty regimens. Wilson stated, "We are a skincare brand telling you to spend less time on skincare." She believes that external factors like sunshine, fresh air, and social interaction are as beneficial for a child's skin as topical products. Each purchase includes a "Confidence Log" to encourage children to track non-appearance-related achievements and positive experiences.
MALOA Skincare offers four specific products: a Jelly Face Cleanser, Triple Cloud Face Moisturizer, Cucumber Splash Face Mist, and Pom Perfect Lip Balm. All items are vegan, cruelty-free, and manufactured in the USA. They are formulated without harsh exfoliants like retinoids or AHAs/BHAs, and exclude synthetic fragrances, dyes, sulfates, parabens, phthalates, and PFAS, adhering to clean beauty standards.
The launch comes amidst growing concern over the complexity of children's skincare routines. A 2025 Northwestern Medicine study highlighted that girls using TikTok skincare routines averaged six products, with popular routines containing up to eleven potentially irritating active ingredients. MALOA Skincare positions itself as an alternative, focusing on gentle care and promoting a healthy self-image that prioritizes experiences over appearance.
