Malteurop acquires Chunlei Malting Co. production facility in China
Malteurop, a subsidiary of VIVESCIA, has acquired a malting plant in Yancheng with an annual capacity of 220,000 tons to increase its footprint in the Asian market.
Malteurop has completed the acquisition of the Chunlei Malting Co. production facility located in Yancheng, China. The plant features an annual malting capacity of 220,000 tons, which is sufficient to produce roughly two billion liters of beer.
This move by the VIVESCIA Group subsidiary is aimed at scaling up its regional production capabilities to better serve the Chinese brewing industry. By incorporating the Yancheng site, the company aims to reduce supply chain complexities and strengthen its competitive position in the broader Asian export market.
The acquisition serves as a strategic expansion for Malteurop, allowing it to leverage local infrastructure to meet regional demand. The company will now focus on integrating the new facility into its global operations to drive efficiency and output consistency.
