Malteurop acquires Chunlei Malting to expand production capacity in China
Malteurop has acquired the Yancheng-based Chunlei Malting Co., adding 220,000 tonnes of annual capacity to its global malt production footprint.

VIVESCIA Group, through its subsidiary Malteurop, has completed the acquisition of Chunlei Malting Co. located in Yancheng, China. The facility produces 220,000 tonnes of malt annually, a volume equivalent to the raw materials needed for two billion liters of beer.
This acquisition integrates a significant production asset into Malteurop’s operations, strengthening its position in the Asian market. The move is part of the company's broader strategy to support international beer brands and regional brewers by localizing supply chains closer to key consumption hubs.
By adding this facility to its existing portfolio, Malteurop increases its industrial footprint in a region where beer consumption continues to evolve. The integration of Chunlei Malting is expected to provide greater scale for the company’s export capabilities from China.
