Mamaearth parent Honasa Consumer reports 87% profit growth in Q2

Honasa Consumer, the parent company of the beauty brand Mamaearth, recorded a consolidated net profit of ₹73.2 crore for the second quarter of the fiscal year, representing an 86.7% increase from the ₹39.2 crore reported in the same period last year. Revenue from operations rose by 35.9% to ₹731.2 crore.

CEO Varun Alagh attributed the growth to the company’s focus categories, including cleansers and sunscreens, which grew by 40% and now account for over 80% of total business income. The company has expanded its general trade reach to approximately 3.2 lakh retail outlets across India.

Despite annual improvements, the firm experienced a sequential decline. Compared to the previous quarter, net profit dropped by 19% and revenue fell by 3.3%. Following the release of these figures, Honasa shares traded 4.02% lower on the BSE.

In addition to Mamaearth, Honasa operates a house of brands including The Derma Co, Aqualogica, and BBlunt. While specific financial breakdowns for individual brands were not disclosed, the company stated that these secondary brands grew by over 45% during the quarter.
