Man GLG Appoints Albert Chu as Portfolio Manager for Natural Resources

Man GLG, the discretionary investment engine of Man Group plc, has appointed Albert Chu as Portfolio Manager. Chu will lead a new investment strategy focused on natural resources and will be based in Man Group's Boston office.
Chu brings over two decades of experience in portfolio management, with a focus on the energy, materials, and natural resources sectors. He joins from BNY Mellon, where he managed natural resources strategies. His previous roles include positions at Precocity Capital, Caxton Associates, Citadel, SAC Capital, and Alger.
The appointment is part of Man GLG's strategy to expand its offering of investment strategies. The firm noted that the natural resources sector is undergoing significant changes, presenting opportunities for alpha generation. Man GLG aims to combine deep industry expertise with quantitative capabilities.
