Man Group Appoints Co-Heads for Credit Risk Sharing Unit
Man Group's private markets business, Man GPM, has appointed two new leaders to its Credit Risk Sharing division, expanding its private credit offerings.

Man Group's private markets business, Man Global Private Markets (Man GPM), has appointed Matthew Moniot and Jonathan Imundo as Co-Heads of its Credit Risk Sharing (CRS) unit. The appointments, effective February 15, 2022, bring a combined 40 years of experience in alternative asset management and banking.
Moniot, who founded Elanus Capital Management in 2010, will lead Man GPM's new CRS strategy, manage the team, and oversee portfolio management and origination. He has extensive experience in credit, structured credit, and equity markets. Imundo will continue his roles at Elanus as President and Head of Client Solutions, while also focusing on new CRS solutions and business development within Man GPM. He previously spent over a decade at Barclays, leading CRS investment origination and distribution.
Credit Risk Sharing involves investors taking on the credit risk of loan portfolios originated by financial institutions like banks and insurance companies. This strategy aims to provide exposure to selective credit risks, generate consistent income, and preserve capital. Man GPM stated that this expansion enhances its private credit capabilities, which already include residential real estate debt and specialty lending.
Man GPM manages $3.5 billion in assets under management (including commitments) and has deployed over $7 billion in capital across equity and debt investments since its inception. The company believes these appointments and the new CRS strategy will address investors' increasing demand for yield, diversification, and complementary credit strategies.
