Investment firm Man Group PLC announced on Thursday that Robyn Grew will take over as the company's chief executive officer on September 1, 2023. She succeeds Luke Ellis, who is retiring after seven years in the role. Grew is currently the President of Man Group and has been with the company for 14 years.
Before her appointment as CEO, Grew held several senior positions within Man Group, including President, Global Chief Operating Officer, Head of ESG, and General Counsel. She has also managed the firm's solutions business and trading and execution functions. Her prior experience includes roles at Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, and LIFFE (now ICE Futures Europe).
The leadership change is part of Man Group's succession planning. Ellis will continue to serve as CEO and an executive director until August 31, 2023, to ensure a smooth transition. The company stated that the board was able to implement its succession plans due to continuous review and identification of internal successors.
