Man Posing as 49ers Player Allegedly Defrauded Women of $1.3 Million

Federal prosecutors have charged Daejon Love, 35, with allegedly defrauding more than two dozen women out of approximately $1.3 million. Prosecutors claim Love utilized dating applications and posed as a San Francisco 49ers player to lure his victims.

The investigation indicates that Love successfully defrauded at least 26 women over the past four years. He reportedly exploited romantic relationships and presented fraudulent investment opportunities to solicit funds. The deception, according to prosecutors, was built upon his fabricated NFL career, which helped him gain the trust of his targets.

"He played a great game," stated his most recent victim, referring to Love's deceptive tactics. The case highlights concerns about the safety of dating apps and online interactions, as well as the risk of individuals exploiting trust and vulnerability for criminal gain.

Love now faces multiple felony fraud charges. Authorities are continuing their investigation and are urging any other potential victims to come forward.
