MAN Truck & Bus restructures camper van offering

MAN Truck & Bus is presenting its restructured camper van portfolio at the Caravan Salon 2026 in Düsseldorf, Germany. The company is targeting three distinct customer groups: private buyers seeking ready-to-use vehicles, DIY converters looking for flexible base vehicles, and professional motorhome manufacturers requiring dedicated platforms.

On display at stand E59 in Hall 16 are two vehicles showcasing the new approach. A MAN TGE 3.160 4x2 with the KombiFree Package demonstrates an accessible, ready-to-use leisure vehicle. Alongside it is a MAN TGE 3.190 4x4 panel van, equipped with camper-specific factory preparations for further conversion. Both vehicles feature a new, exclusive Reimo pop-top roof, offering the largest roof opening currently available for the MAN TGE, enhancing interior space and standing height.

The KombiFree Package is designed for customers who want immediate use, combining everyday practicality with camping features. For DIY converters, MAN offers the standard TGE panel van in various configurations or the TGE Camper Van Base Vehicle, which includes factory preparations to simplify custom conversions. Professional manufacturers can choose from TGE panel vans, the Camper Van Base Vehicle, or a cowl chassis variant for semi-integrated motorhomes.

MAN is also expanding its digital services for the TGE. The new Lifetime Connectivity feature provides ongoing access to digital services, online functions, and map updates throughout the vehicle's life at no extra cost. The MAN ID system grants access to services like the ChatGPT-powered IDA Online Voice Assistant, web radio, and Spotify integration. MAN Individual is also introducing new personalization options, including the Black Package and the new Lion X trim level.
