Manufacturing and AI dominate US startup funding activity
U.S.-based startups secured significant capital this week, led by large rounds in manufacturing, prediction markets, and construction automation.

U.S.-based startups saw a surge in capital influx during the final week of October 2026, headlined by manufacturing firm Re:Build, which raised $2.1 billion. Prediction marketplace Kalshi followed with a $1 billion Series G, pushing its post-money valuation to $40 billion.
Technology and infrastructure sectors also captured significant interest. Bedrock Robotics secured $600 million for autonomous construction equipment, and biotech firm Dren Bio raised $350 million for cancer therapy trials. Other notable activity included $169 million for battery manufacturer Group 14 Technologies and various rounds in enterprise AI and data analytics.
The diversity of these rounds highlights ongoing investor interest in heavy industry automation, life sciences, and specialized AI infrastructure. Despite broader market caution, these capital injections suggest continued appetite for high-valuation, late-stage technology ventures.
