Hefei, China – The 2026 World Manufacturing Convention opened on September 20 at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center. The event showcases advancements in intelligent manufacturing, featuring over 900 companies and 10,000 exhibition stands.
Under the theme "Intelligent Manufacturing for a Better Future," the 70,000-square-meter exhibition focuses on innovations and achievements in smart manufacturing. The displays are organized along industrial value chains, including intelligent mining equipment, quantum technology, fusion energy, artificial intelligence, and advanced materials.
Beyond individual products, the convention highlights integrated manufacturing ecosystems. The intelligent and connected vehicles sector presents finished vehicles, EV batteries, and automotive semiconductors. The new-generation information technology and clean energy zone exhibits infrastructure and computing power for AI.
Regional collaboration is also a key focus, with Sichuan Province presenting smart manufacturing themes. The international zone hosts multinational corporations and Chinese joint ventures. The United Kingdom returns as the guest of honor. In technology-assisted elderly care, Anhui Longchuang Intelligent Technology demonstrated radar technology for fall detection and alerts.
The convention reflects China's transition from "Made in China" to "Smart Manufacturing in China." For instance, Anhui Province is a leading producer and exporter of electric vehicles, illustrating the sector's rapid transformation.
