MapleStory Classic Server to Launch August 3 with Long-Term Operation Model
Nexon and Shengqu Games will launch an official MapleStory Classic server on August 3 in China, operating under a long-term model. The server aims to replicate the game's original content.
Nexon and its China operator, Shengqu Games, have announced the launch of an official MapleStory Classic server scheduled for August 3. This server is designed to offer players an authentic experience reminiscent of the game's early days, faithfully recreating original maps, character classes, and quests.
The Classic server is based on a classic version of the game and is intended for long-term, perpetual operation. At launch, players will have access to five character classes: Warrior, Magician, Archer, Thief, and Pirate. The level cap will be set at 100, with the second job advancement available.
Classic areas such as Gold and Silver Beach, Nautilus, and Ludibrium will be included. The game will also feature a free market and an NPC shop system, mirroring the game's early iteration. This marks Nexon's first official classic server release.
