MapmyIndia Reports Strong Growth in AI-Driven Solutions
MapmyIndia has reported robust growth in its AI-powered mapping and IoT solutions for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027. The company has been utilizing AI for map updates for the past eight years.

MapmyIndia, an Indian geospatial solutions provider, has announced strong performance for the first quarter of fiscal year 2027 (Q1 FY27), highlighting significant growth in its artificial intelligence-driven offerings. The company stated that AI has been integral to its map updating and enhancement processes for over eight years.
The company is accelerating its development of AI-native products. Its portfolio includes map-centric solutions such as data, APIs, navigation, analytics, and digital twins, alongside IoT-centric solutions encompassing telematics, cameras, and drones. MapmyIndia's mapping services are integrated by prominent Indian tech firms and applications, including PhonePe, Paytm, Amazon, and Zepto. Notably, Amazon replaced Google Maps with MapmyIndia's APIs and SDKs for routing and address verification in its quick commerce operations.
MapmyIndia is observing positive momentum in its government and IoT business verticals. While map-led solutions continue to form the largest portion of revenue at 71%, the company anticipates substantial growth from government and IoT segments. Significant opportunities are identified in the defense and oil & gas sectors. The IoT business experienced a notable 76% year-over-year revenue increase.
The company has realigned its reporting into three market-focused verticals: Automotive, Enterprise, and Government. In Q1 FY27, the automotive sector contributed 42.1% to revenue, enterprise clients accounted for 46%, and the government sector represented 11.9%. The government segment saw a decline from the previous quarter, partly due to a one-time write-off. In the automotive sector, MapmyIndia is continuing its collaborations with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) by integrating its navigation systems into new vehicle models.
MapmyIndia generates revenue through product licensing, subscriptions, device sales, and system integration services. Pricing models are tailored to usage, including per-vehicle, per-API transaction, or per-user arrangements.
