Marc Devillard Appointed Investment Director at Crédit Agricole Private Equity

Crédit Agricole Private Equity has appointed Marc Devillard as an Investment Director within its Venture Capital team. Devillard will oversee investments in the software and Internet sectors.

Devillard, 40, brings extensive experience in the technology industry. Previously, he served as a Senior Manager in the Telecoms/Media division at management consultancy Arthur D. Little. Prior to that, he held several positions at Microsoft France, including Head of the "Information Worker" product line and later Head of Marketing Operations for Western Europe.

His earlier career included roles such as Business Development Director at BIC S.A. and Chief Operating Officer for Cytale S.A., known for producing the first European e-book, the Cybook. He was also a member of Cytale's management board.

Devillard holds engineering degrees from Ecole Polytechnique and Corps des Ponts et Chaussées, along with an MBA from INSEAD. Crédit Agricole Private Equity is the private equity arm of Crédit Agricole S.A., specializing in direct investments in unlisted companies.
