Marc Sesterhenn joins Rittal Management Board
Marc Sesterhenn has been appointed Managing Director Operations at Rittal and a member of the Management Board, effective October 1, 2021. He will oversee the company's international production network development.
Industrial enclosure specialist Rittal announced the appointment of Dr Marc Sesterhenn to its Management Board as Managing Director Operations, effective October 1, 2021. Sesterhenn, 48, will be responsible for the company's production facilities in Germany, China, India, the USA, Italy, and the UK.
In his new role, Sesterhenn is tasked with further developing Rittal's international production network and the digital integration of its global manufacturing operations. The company cited its new plant in Haiger for compact enclosures as a model for digital integration.
"The implementation of Industry 4.0 structures in our manufacturing facilities is a major step towards our future," stated Markus Asch, CEO and Chairman of the Management Board. "Highly efficient production, logistics, and communication processes in all plants globally will make Rittal even more competitive and future-proof."
Sesterhenn joins Rittal from Rohde & Schwarz in Munich, where he most recently served as Executive Vice President of Operations. Prior to that, he held senior operational management positions at MAN Truck & Bus.
