Marengo Therapeutics to Present Combination Study Results at SITC Meeting
Marengo Therapeutics announced interim results from its STARt-002 study, combining invikafusp alfa and TRODELVY, have been selected for oral presentation at the SITC annual meeting.

Marengo Therapeutics announced that interim results from its STARt-002 clinical study have been selected for oral presentation at the Society for Immunotherapy of Cancer (SITC) 41st Annual Meeting. The conference is scheduled for November 4–8, 2026, in Phoenix, Arizona.
The study evaluates the combination of invikafusp alfa and TRODELVY in patients with metastatic breast cancer, focusing on two populations: triple-negative and HR-positive/HER2-negative metastatic breast cancer. These findings build upon initial data presented at AACR 2026.
Invikafusp alfa is designed to target antigen-rich tumors. ADC therapies like TRODELVY contribute to this by releasing tumor antigens and inducing inflammation within the tumor microenvironment, thus priming less immunogenic tumors for T-cell responses. STARt-002 is the first clinical study to test this approach by pairing a selective T-cell agonist with an ADC, potentially extending invikafusp alfa's efficacy to tumors not inherently rich in antigens.
Marengo Therapeutics anticipates reporting additional data on this combination therapy in 2027. The company is also investigating invikafusp alfa as a monotherapy in the STARt-001 study for patients with solid tumors resistant to PD-1 treatment. Results from STARt-001 are also slated for presentation at the European Society for Medical Oncology (ESMO) congress in October 2026.
