CINCINNATI – Grocery giant The Kroger Co. announced Tuesday that Mark Ibbotson will join the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Store Operations Officer. His appointment is effective September 14.
Ibbotson possesses decades of experience in leading major retail operations. In his new role, he will oversee the daily operations of Kroger's approximately 2,800 stores nationwide.
The move comes as Kroger aims to enhance its in-store experience and operational efficiency within the competitive grocery sector. Ibbotson will report directly to the company's CEO.
Kroger, one of the largest supermarket chains in the United States, is focused on adapting its store network and customer service to evolving consumer habits.
